We invite our guests to fill out a short comment sheet before they leave. We are always looking to improve and who better to ask than our guests. So far, every guest has completed a form so we have received a lot of feedback. Without exception, guests have had a terrific time when they come here. Not a fine time or a good time…… a really wonderful time! Their vacation experience always exceeds their expectations.

We have not included the names of our guests in these testimonials because of our commitment to privacy both during and after their visit. We have included some samples from last summer. Take a look for yourself……

Thank you. We’ve had a great week in your home, which exceeded all our expectations. The house is luxurious and lovely, and all the little touches, fresh flowers, chocolates, welcome basket made it all the more special. The boys would have happily lived in the pool but when we did manage to drag them out, we couldn’t have been better located for Victoria Butchart Gardens, and the Lake. We needed a place to relax and recover after a hectic week tour of the Rockies and we couldn’t have chosen better. Thanks again.

Perhaps my only complaint about Long Meadow is that it is far too wonderful to leave – I expected to spend much more time enjoying Victoria’s sites, but that will be another trip. Our reunion was perfect. We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, the deck, the deer and mostly each other’s company in this glorious setting. Thanks for creating such a beautiful space and for sharing it with our ‘family’ of friends.

It had been our intention to see as much of the island as possible in our much too short time here but you’re lovely home provided such a wonderful relaxing and comfortable base we hardly needed to leave the doorstep to enjoy our holiday! Your home had everything we needed and more; the goats, the deer, hot tub, BBQ, and the view have all provided such enjoyment to our whole family. And the crème de la crème the fabulous pool (I think it will take a week for our kids to dry out!) My family and I have enjoyed a wonderful break here – wish we could have stayed longer. My little daughters Julia and Hannah loved their bedroom, and feeding the goats. Thank you for all your generosities – from Shawn’s ‘engineering’ touch evidenced throughout your graciously appointed home. To the generosity and love found in Cindy’s garden and details, to the whimsy and joy found in Peters room, I could stay a year to share in your cycle of seasons, to know each deer and bird and quail covey as you do; to greet your neighbours and each of the goats. I could especially devour your reading material – perhaps a sabbatical here someday?!

It’s so true. Everything in life is perfect and meant to be... and so was Long Meadow. This was a spur of the moment holiday for us found at first search on the web. From the time we pulled up the lane and settled in we were captured by your warmth Cindy, the beauty of your home filled with flowers, welcome basket (yum), music/CD’s/DVD’s/Books – something for all, pillow chocolates, hot tub with view, view from each window, every amenity needed or for fun, a good book, warm fire (wow) the real frosting for us was the nature everywhere – birds, deer and feeding the billies and nannies. We are returning home renewed of spirit and soul. We have left our hearts at Long Meadow. It is difficult to leave which is a first in any place we’ve vacationed.

We didn’t come for a holiday but to see a special health care professional. We have rented 3 other vacation houses and Long Meadow is our favorite. There is no compromising here… we’ve had peace, quiet, beauty, comfort - everything we’ve needed. (I’m thankful to have found such a home away from home). We are departing Long Meadow with the fondest of memories, many of which were inspired and made possible by this beautiful place… We were truly touched by every aspect of this home. We played in the pool and felt closer to one another because of fun. We jacuzzed and felt luxurious. We sat around the kitchen table and sat for cool drinks on the porch under the umbrella, sharing conversation. That chocolates were on the bed, sheets were ironed, fresh flowers were placed out to greet us, toys and floaties at the pool – These little touches and the energy of the gardens and the kindness and caring of Cindy and Shawn and Peter all made this feel like a home, rather than a rental. Ah so much magic and love here. Thank you.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in your comfortable home. This seemed like the perfect location for us. We run, hike, visit wineries and it was all right here! Our kids loved the goats and the hammock under the kiwi tree – how great! The pool was certainly a nice bonus since the weather was so warm. We’re so glad we found you.

We thoroughly enjoyed the location, tranquility and beauty of the scenery around this lovely house.
